台灣《著作權法》中如非法重製著作的載體為「光碟」，屬於非告訴乃論罪且有加重處罰規定。時過境遷，光碟如今已非常見的著作儲存媒介，司法院大法官110年做出之釋字第804號解釋，亦指明有關機關應該適時檢討修正，以免法律與社會發展脫節。相關修法後已於111年4月三讀通過，本文扼要說明。

Copyright Regulation Amended in Taiwan to Facilitate Circulation and Use of Orphan Works
To facilitate the circulation and legal use of works created by unknown authors (aka the “Orphan Works”) in Taiwan, the IP office has recently revised the related regulations to provide convenient access to copyright holder information; shorten mandatory waiting period following the public search; and reduce requirements for legal use of orphan works.
